F1 has decided to host a spectacular fan festival on 29 March 2020 in South Africa. Heineken is the prominent sponsor of the much-anticipated Heineken F1 Joburg Festival. Three F1 teams will take part in the live car run of the Joburg Festival.
South African F1 fans would not want to miss this rare opportunity to see the Mercedes driver and 2019 Drivers Championship runner-up Valtteri Bottas up close alongside the legendary figure of David Coulthard as they turn the heat up in one of the most vibrant cities of the world.
Gauteng must get ready because Formula One certainly is. F1 is not holding back on making the event special. That is obvious seeing as Mercedes-AMG Petronas, Aston Martin Red Bull Racing and Renault are all in the lineup to bring energy to the event. Furthermore, the festival will have many awesome and inclusive activities especially for fans interested in esports or ‘Pirelli Pit-stop’ Challenge. Also, the supercars and historic cars that made Formula 1 big will also be featured throughout the event.
If you thought that was all the Formula 1 you are going to get at the event, check this out. Formula 1 icon Jody Scheckter will also be in the house to celebrate his 1979 title win. Overall, the Joburg Festival is a big deal for F1 and the South African F1 fans.
SuperSport will broadcast the Heineken F1 Joburg Festival live. Fans can expect to watch live track activity including the live car run. However, the festival attendants will have the opportunity to enjoy live music as well.
Among the people who have expressed their interest in the F1 fan Festival Johannesburg are Director of Marketing & Communications Ellie Norman, Heineken South Africa Managing Director Gerrit Van Loo, President of South African GP Jody Scheckter and Gauteng MEC for Economic Development Morakane Mosupyoe. All of these people are adamant over the impact and hence the success of the F1 festival.
