Being the greatest driver who never won the F1 championship, Moss participated in 66 Grands Prix. In his 10-year career, Vanwall, Maserati and Mercedes made use of his driving skills. During these years, he also formed a much-liked partnership with another legendary figure Juan Manuel Fangio.
From 1951 to 1961, he took 16 wins. These victories also included some of the most impressive drives of F1 history. The race wins of 1961 in Monaco and Germany are considered the favorite among others.
Moss had to retire from racing after he became part of a major crash in 1962. But he stayed in the F1 circles for a very long time as a sports correspondent. The end to his illustrious career comes as a huge loss to the F1 community. May he rest in peace.
